When you think of entertainment and theater in New York City, or for that matter anywhere else in the world, there is nothing to beat the excitement, class, and talent of Broadway shows. Broadway consists of 39 theaters designated as such. Others are either designated as Off-Broadway or Off-Off-Broadway theaters. These are not based on the location of the theaters, as the designations might suggest, but are based on the seating capacities. Off-Broadway theaters have a seating capacity ranging from 100 to 499, and Off-Off-Broadway theaters have a capacity of 99 seats or less. Broadway theaters have a seating capacity ranging from 500 to 2000.
If you have not made any advance booking, your safest and best bet for obtaining your Broadway sales tickets at the last moment, are the many Broadway ticket brokers.
